CARE Canada is dedicated to the engagement of volunteers across Canada and overseas wherever possible. CARE Canada has a long history of using volunteers which includes adhering to best practices and ensuring best retention/recognition initiatives. At CARE Canada, we firmly believe that paramount to building a successful Volunteer program is the need to create high value and rewarding opportunities for the volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities vary and are based on the ongoing needs of the organization. All opportunities are posted on our careers page. Volunteer expertise commonly in need include:
- Help during a special event
- Speaking or promotional events (schools)
- Data input
- Writing and editing
- Data gathering and analysis
Individual volunteers, whether they are professionals, retirees or students, can benefit from a volunteer engagement with CARE Canada by being offered opportunities to expand their skill sets, to meet people, gain experience through a challenging work assignment, to lend back their valuable experience to CARE, or by gaining an affiliation with the organization.
Volunteer opportunities with CARE Canada are currently available throughout Canada. Overseas volunteer opportunities are typically sourced directly abroad. CARE Canada does not send volunteers overseas directly.
