Preventing Gender-Based Violence in Kenya: CARE’s Women’s Voice & Leadership work

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a sharp increase in gender-based violence (GBV) in many parts of the world. With support from the Government of Canada, CARE is working with incredible local women’s organizations-Community Advocacy and Awareness (CRAWN) Trust, the Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW), Urgent Action Fund-Africa and Uraia Trust-in Kenya’s informal settlements to address GBV and protect survivors as part of our Women’s Voice and Leadership work.

CARE Canada is supporting women’s rights organizations in Kenya and South Sudan through our Women’s Voice and Leadership projects.
