CARE Canada board member Doug Stollery named as a member of the Order of Canada

30 DECEMBER 2020 – CARE Canada is proud to acknowledge that board member Doug Stollery has been named as a member of the Order of Canada.

Doug was named for his wide-ranging contributions to Canada’s legal landscape, his defense of human rights and his community and philanthropic involvement.

He is currently counsel to the law firm of Reynolds Mirth Richards & Farmer LLP. He previously served as general counsel and corporate secretary to PCL Constructors Inc. He holds an LLB from the University of Alberta and an LLM from Harvard University. Doug has served as Chancellor of the University of Alberta, Chancellor of St. Stephen’s College, President of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, President of the Stollery Charitable Foundation, and as a director of a number of non-profit organizations including the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Alberta Law Reform Institute, Victoria School Foundation for the Arts, Grant MacEwan College, the Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

Doug has been a CARE Canada board member since 2014.
