How will you make a difference this Giving Tuesday?

By Barbara Grantham, CARE Canada President and CEO

Giving Tuesday began as a simple idea, as most movements do: a day that encourages people to do good.

Now a global movement, with millions taking part around the world, Giving Tuesday is on November 30 this year-just 5 days away.

It is a day that brings people together to support their favourite causes and encourage acts of kindness. For me, it is a welcome change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. It is also an important reminder of the true sprit of the holidays-a time to celebrate community, connection, and giving back to others.

Giving back to help others is a powerful act. How will you make a difference this Giving Tuesday?

There are so many ways to give back with gestures big and small (though no act of kindness is ever too small), like volunteering your time, helping a neighbour, amplifying meaningful causes on social media, donating to your favourite charity, or simply sharing words of gratitude with a friend-these are all inspiring and impactful ways to mark Giving Tuesday.

I hope you’ll join me and all of us at CARE Canada this coming Tuesday to celebrate this global day of generosity by taking part in the movement to give back and spread love and kindness in Canada and around the world.

Giving Tuesday happens on November 30, but why wait until then? Join us in making a difference in the lives of women and girls by making a gift to CARE Canada today.

Our urgent goal for this Giving Tuesday is to raise funds for 300 Emergency CARE Packages® to help provide emergency relief to those who need it most.

In an emergency, timing is crucial. Giving a gift where it’s needed most allows CARE to respond quickly to major crises and rush support across the globe to help families in need.

No matter how you celebrate this Giving Tuesday, all of us at CARE Canada will be celebrating you-our generous supporters. Because of you, CARE and our partners around the world are investing in and empowering women to lead in their homes and communities, creating an unstoppable ripple effect that has the power to change the world. Thank you for your support of our powerful mission.
