OTTAWA, 6 JANUARY 2022 – CARE Canada is delighted to announce the appointment of Alison Evans as Vice President, Public Engagement, effective 31 January 2022.

As a key member of the senior leadership team and in this inaugural role, Alison will oversee CARE Canada’s advocacy, communications, marketing, revenue generation, and program development teams, as we work to realize our bold new Strategic Plan, From Caring Comes Courage (2021–2024). "The Board and staff of CARE Canada are thrilled to welcome Alison to the team. Her strong expertise in public affairs and proven experience in managing diverse portfolios spanning the private and public sectors are essential assets for the next trajectory of our growth," says Barbara Grantham, CARE Canada President and CEO. "Our new Strategic Plan challenges us to reimagine how we achieve our mission, inspire Canadian investment in that mission, and transform our organization to be future ready. We are bringing a transformational, experienced leader to join us in the realization of that new vision and Strategy."

"It is an incredible opportunity to be joining CARE Canada at this important time in the organization’s transformation and in the face of unprecedented global crises," says Alison. "CARE’s focus on putting women and girls at the centre as it works to save lives, defeat poverty, and achieve social justice resonates deeply for me.
