CARE has been fighting inequality for more than 70 years, beginning when CARE first came together to support women, girls and their familes in Europe devastated by the Second World War.

In the years since then, we have become a trusted partner for thousands of institutional and individual donors who also share a commitment to ending inequality. Not only do we carry out work on behalf of these donors, but we bring them together to share lessons learned and to get better at ensuring women and girls have the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty.

We respond to both humanitarian crises as well as the long-term needs of vulnerable populations. We employ local staff who know best how to empower their own communities and we employ remote staff who work to enable them to do their work as efficiently as possible.

We will never stop learning. And we will never stop bringing people together to end inequality.
