Roger Larson has a solid reputation for building dialogue and solutions. Roger leads the Deans Council - Agriculture, Food & Veterinary Medicine as Executive Director, supporting evidence-based public policy and science research, supplying the skills and innovation to support Canada's growing agri-food sector. Roger is responsible for the Council's management, delivering the mandate to collaborate with complementary sectors and associations, liaison with government and funding organizations, and build international networks.
Areas of expertise include agriculture, food security, transportation, environment, economic policy, international trade, corporate taxation, energy supply, sustainability and climate change in the agri-food and resource sectors.
Roger holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Economics & Finance from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) in Ontario. He is a past Board member of the Government Relations Institute of Canada, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in North America, and a member of the Canadian Association for Business Economics. He has been recognized in the Hill Times top-100 lobbyists, and he was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal for his contribution to Canadian agriculture.
