Thank you for your interest in fundraising for CARE Canada. Whether you’re an individual, business, community group, or school or service club, organizing your own fundraiser is a great way to support CARE’s poverty fighting work while having fun!

Get started in 3 easy steps

STEP #1: Plan your fundraising campaign

Need some help or inspiration?

Walk In Her Shoes

Host your very own Walk In Her Shoes event by challenging your friends and family to walk 10,000 steps in support of women and girls.

Ask your friends and family to donate money for every kilometre you run, walk, swim or bike.

Lunch and Learn

Host a speaker series for your office, school or community. Depending on your location, you could invite CARE staff to share their stories.

Host a Girl Rising Screening

Host a film night at a community centre or with a group of friends. The film Girl Rising shares the stories of nine girls from developing countries.

Parties and Dinners

Charge your guests "admission" to your dinner party and put all the proceeds towards your fundraising goal.

The Classics

Try a classic fundraiser like a car wash, garage sale, BBQ, can/bottle drive, bake sale, pancake breakfast or dress-down day at work or school.

Special Occasions

Make your support for CARE part of an important event like a wedding or baby shower.

Hold a sports tournament, organize a bowling night, or play from the couch in support of your fundraiser.

Birthdays and Holidays

Ask your friends to donate to CARE instead of buying you a gift.

STEP #2: Create your own fundraising page and set a fundraising goal

The process is simple. Just follow the steps and you’re on your way to fundraising success!

STEP #3: Promote your event and have FUN

Spread the word about your fundraising initiative. We have created a variety of resources to help you on your fundraising journey.
