The situation

A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Ukraine. With the recent escalation of conflict, urgent action is needed to help millions of people in need of emergency relief.

Damaged infrastructure, lack of water and food supplies, and eight years of conflict have left significant scars throughout Ukraine. Millions of people have been displaced within country, while millions have also fled the violence, seeking safety in neighbouring countries.

CARE is extremely concerned about the health and safety of women, children, and the elderly who are more at risk during any emergency.

Your donation today will help families in Ukraine and those who have fled to surrounding regions access urgent emergency services and support.

What we are doing

CARE is working through partners in Poland, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine who are already on the ground and working in Ukraine and the region. CARE is providing urgently needed emergency supplies such as food, water, hygiene kits, psycho-social support, and cash to cover daily needs.

We are prioritizing the needs of women and girls, families, and the elderly in our emergency response.

CARE has extensive experience and a long history of working across Eastern and Western Europe, in the Balkans in countries like Bosnia, and across the Caucuses.
