These are Niger’s future entrepreneurs, teachers, and doctors. Those who will build the country and dream up new ideas. Those who will work for equal rights and opportunities for all.

The group meets every week after school. They get together to save money and have created their own little bank. Everyone saves what they can, and those who need it can borrow money to test out their own business ideas.

How Malians are eating 3 meals a day

When COVID-19 hit Mali, most of the families that CARE works with that had been eating three meals a day suddenly found themselves eating only once a day. Six months later, most of those families are eating three meals a day again. Why? Because local communities mobilized to share information, and worked with CARE to distribute cash transfers to the families most in need.
