Refugee and displacement crises across Venezuela and neighboring countries, the Central Sahel, Syria, South Sudan, and Democratic Republic of Congo receive shockingly low support from the international community in the first 6 months of 2022. According to the new UN OCHA Global Humanitarian Overview 2022 sees a 17% increase in global humanitarian needs from 2021, with 274 million people in need of life-saving aid around the world and US$41 billion needed to provide this aid.
